noodlelab is on hiatus…
It’s official — noodlelab.com is going the way of tv shows requiring scripts — it’s being put on a brief (or maybe a looooooong) hiatus. During this time, going to www.noodlelab.com will lead you here, to www.aevx5.com
The decision to consolidate has nothing to do with any lack of interest in refashioning things people (myself included) so easily toss away without a second thought. It’s all to do with completing the many projects I’ve started, continue utilizing the wonderful array of materials currently have on hand to upcycle into amazing trashion accessories — and allow for more time to list some of the completed items on etsy!
It also means I should have more time to:
- Figure out how to display large 20 x 30 watercolors for the December 7 First Friday event at International Tea and Coffee shop. It just opened at 630 Virginia Ave., and it’ll be worth while to stop by. Elizabeth Krajeck, a local poet, will be giving a reading, and Danese Kenon, an amazing photojournalist, will be giving us a little of her artistic side.
- Work on more scarves, pendants and pins so they will be available for purchase at Dada by Dec. 7. This one’s quite a task, since I rarely knit, sew or wire these together by pattern. That means each item is unique and done up just a bit differently from the last, and utilizing found objects, vintage (and not-so-vintage!) remnants to spice up the stuff (like fabulous art yarns!) that I couldn’t pass up at the knit shop!
- Recycle some of those noodelab.com cards! Designing and ordering new business cards would be easier, but I can’t bring myself to do it! I’m hoping a little imagination will hep me come up with a fun, simple — and quick! — way to make hang tags, business cards and whatever else I need for aevx5.com!
- And, of course: Put in those 8-hour work days! Yes, that’s in addition to everything else!
